Terms of Service

These terms are Roy’s end-user license agreement and govern a business’s access to Roy and its connected-app features.

Using Roy

Roy grants the business a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the hosted service for its internal business operations while the account remains authorized. The person activating Roy represents that they are at least 18 and authorized to act for that business.

Users must provide accurate information, protect account and messaging access, comply with law, and avoid access they are not allowed to have, harmful software, interference, resale, automated copying, or use that violates another person’s rights.

Text messaging terms

By texting Roy and replying SETUP to the welcome message, a person requests and agrees to receive recurring service messages from Roy. These may include replies to the person’s requests, account and setup notices, and requested business-status updates. Consent to text messages is not a condition of purchase.

Message frequency varies with the person’s conversations and account activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. See the Privacy Policy for how Roy handles mobile information, or email security@tryroy.ai for support.

Square integration

Square access is optional. An owner approves access in Square and confirms the business in Roy before Roy reads business information, customers, invoices, and payments. Roy does not make changes in Square, charge customers, or issue refunds.

An owner can disconnect from Roy’s Connections page at any time. Roy stops new reading, removes its saved access, and handles saved records under the Privacy Policy. Square is a third-party service governed by its own agreements; Roy is not endorsed by Square.

Jobber integration

Jobber access is optional and requires clear approval from an owner of the connected business. Roy reads Clients, Quotes, Jobs, Invoices, and Payments. The Jobber connection described here is read-only.

Roy does not create, change, or delete records in Jobber. Jobber is a third-party service governed by its own agreements; Roy is not endorsed by Jobber.

QuickBooks Online integration

QuickBooks access is optional and requires clear approval from an owner of the connected business. Roy reads Company information, Customers, Estimates, Invoices, and Payments. A verified owner may approve one exact Customer creation or update.

Roy does not record payments, issue refunds, void or delete transactions, transfer funds, reconcile accounts, change the chart of accounts or ledger, or use QuickBooks Payments. Roy cannot expand an approved change and does not automatically repeat it when Roy cannot tell whether QuickBooks completed it.

The owner may disconnect at any time. Roy will stop new access and handle saved content under the Privacy Policy. QuickBooks and Intuit are third-party services governed by their own agreements; Roy is not endorsed by Intuit.

QuickBooks Desktop integration

QuickBooks Desktop access is optional and requires an owner of the connected business to open Roy’s setup file in QuickBooks’ connection app on their own computer and confirm the company. Roy reads Company information, Customers, Estimates, Invoices, and Payments, and does not change the company file. Roy receives new information only while that computer and QuickBooks’ connection app are running. The owner may disconnect at any time from Roy’s Connections page and should also remove Roy from QuickBooks’ connection app on that computer.

Google Workspace integration

Google Workspace access is optional and uses one owner-approved connection for Gmail and Google Calendar. Roy may read Gmail messages and Calendar events. A verified owner may approve one exact email send or Calendar event creation, update, or cancellation, including its recipients, content, event, and timing.

The approval cannot be reused or expanded. Roy records the exact change before making it and does not automatically repeat a change when Roy cannot tell whether Google completed it.

Airtable integration

Airtable access is optional and requires clear approval from a verified owner of the connected business. Roy reads one owner-confirmed workspace and only the tables and columns the owner chooses for business records. Roy listens for updates in that workspace. The owner must review and confirm Roy’s suggested setup before Airtable information can support an answer or Roy can make a change.

A verified owner may approve one exact client, quote, job, invoice, or payment creation or update. Roy cannot expand the kind of record, columns, or values after approval. Roy does not delete records; change comments, tables, columns, workspaces, or collaborators; read attachments; or use anything the owner did not choose. Disconnecting from Roy stops new reading and changes immediately, but the owner must also remove Roy from Airtable’s account Integrations settings. Airtable is a third-party service governed by Airtable’s own agreements; Roy is not endorsed by Airtable.

AI output and business decisions

Roy uses artificial intelligence and connected records to produce summaries, reminders, and answers. Output can be incomplete or wrong. Roy is not an accountant, attorney, tax adviser, lender, insurer, broker, payment processor, or fiduciary. Users must review source citations and use qualified professionals for accounting, tax, legal, financial, safety, employment, or other high-stakes decisions.

Customer data

The business retains its rights in the information it supplies or connects. The business authorizes Roy and its disclosed service providers to process that information only to operate, secure, support, and improve the business-specific service as described in the Privacy Policy. The business is responsible for having the rights and notices needed to provide customer and employee information to Roy.

Availability and changes

Roy may change, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain security, meet connected-app requirements, or improve the service. Planned or material interruptions will be communicated when practical. Third-party services and networks can affect availability, and Roy does not guarantee that every message or update from a connected app will arrive without delay.

Suspension and termination

Roy may suspend access for security risk, unlawful or abusive use, nonpayment when applicable, removal of required connected-app access, or material breach of these terms. A business may stop using Roy and request deletion. Provisions that by their nature must survive—such as ownership, confidentiality, payment obligations, disclaimers, and limits of liability—continue after termination.

Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, Roy is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the extent permitted by law, Roy is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-profit damages arising from use of the service or third-party providers.
